As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Twitter (X), you will focus on and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code (terraform, cloudformation) while contributing to the team's objectives and broader company goals.

Twitter (X) is based in San Jose, California, United States, and this role follows a hybrid work model with the flexibility to work remotely several days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost optimisation
• Manage container orchestration with Kubernetes and Docker
• Implement security best practices and compliance controls
• Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements

Requirements

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure automation
• Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Understanding of networking, security, and identity management
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
